Japan's Taiyo Technolex shares jump 32%
Micro Cap stock pays a 3 yen per share dividend in 2025
Shares of micro-cap Taiyo Technolex Co., Ltd. (TSE:6663) from Japan jumped 32.1% today as a standout in a negative market in Tokio.
The crazy thing is that the company that designs, manufactures, and sells advanced electronic boards (notably flexible printed circuits), inspection systems, mirror polishing machines, and industrial machinery, did not post results or did not report any other company related news.
Taiyo Technolex last reported quarterly earnings on April 25: Taiyo TechnoRex Co., Ltd. reported a 9.5% drop in sales in the first quarter of FY2025, with a net loss of ¥20 million due to weak performance in its test systems and industrial equipment segments. Despite growth in mirror polishing machines and electronic boards, it wasn’t enough to offset the decline. The company maintains its full-year forecast but expects special losses from ongoing restructuring efforts.
If we include the 32% jump from today Taiyo Technolex shares are now up 22.8% YTD in 2025. The company has a market cap of only 1.99 billion yen, equal to $13.7 millon.
The company pays an annual dividend of 3 yen per share. The dividend yield is 1.2% at a stock price of 329 yen. The ex-dividend date was December 19, 2024.
